According to the cantonal service contract, the psychiatry department of Spital Emmental is responsible for providing care to the Emmental region (150,000 inhabitants) with the locations in Burgdorf and Langnau.

Your tasks within the framework of team-oriented processes

• Conducting geriatric psychiatry consultations at the Allgemeinspital Langnau
• Geriatric psychiatry consultation service in the somatic wards of the hospital
• Collaboration in the Memory Clinic (diagnostics, case discussions, interdisciplinary assessments)
• If interested: Participation in the specialist consultation for ADHD and ASD in adulthood
• Development and expansion of the regional, outreach care structure
• Interprofessional collaboration with nursing, therapies, and somatic specialist disciplines
• Participation in the integrated psychiatric emergency service

Your profile

• Specialist title in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy or shortly before completion
• Interest in geriatric psychiatry and somato-psychic interactions
• Ideally initial experience in geriatric psychiatry; consultation psychiatry experience welcome
• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration and the further development of modern care services
• Confident appearance as well as a clear, structured, and team-oriented way of working
