Socio-educational Assistant in Geriatrics

Mandated by medico-social establishments (EMS) in the canton of Genève, we are looking for a Socio-educational Assistant in Geriatrics (M/F) (40% care / 40% animation) to join our dedicated pool team in medico-social establishments (EMS). If you possess significant experience in geriatrics and late-age psychiatry and aspire to improve the well-being of elderly people in EMS, this opportunity is made for you!

You work in close collaboration with the teams in place to ensure the socio-educational support of residents with cognitive impairments.

You participate in the development and implementation of educational and social projects aimed at promoting the autonomy and development of skills of the residents.

You ensure regular monitoring of the progress and difficulties encountered by the people supported, while maintaining effective communication with multidisciplinary teams.

You will work in continuous shifts, split shifts, during the week, on weekends and public holidays.

• You hold a CFC as a socio-educational assistant or the SEFRI recognition of an equivalent diploma.
• Ideally, you possess at least one year of experience working with elderly people.
• You are an empathetic, creative, attentive, and dynamic person.
• You adapt quickly to new environments and to working autonomously.
• You enjoy teamwork and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
