The Department of General Internal Medicine (DAIM) is a clinical competence center at three clinic locations in Bern (Klinik Beau-Site, Salem-Spital, Klinik Permanence), covering the entire spectrum of the discipline of General Internal Medicine and interdisciplinary clinical emergency medicine. The DAIM is a Category A training facility for General Internal Medicine, Category IV for outpatient medicine, as well as SGNOR Category 2 for clinical emergency medicine.

YOUR TASKS

• You take over the professional organization and management of inpatient patients and care for internal medicine patients, as well as those of the invasive/surgical disciplines with comorbidities on the ward and IMC
• You ensure high-quality and patient-centered care and promote interdisciplinary cooperation
• You participate in the medical on-call service -- without requirement for nocturnal presence
• You lead and support assistant physicians as well as students in training and continuing education
• You are responsible for medical performance recording, reporting, and optimizing existing processes
• You are available as a contact person for consultations

YOUR PROFILE

• You possess a specialist title in General Internal Medicine or are close to completing the specialist title and potentially hold another specialist title in infectious diseases, nephrology, cardiology, or other sub-disciplines
• You have experience in the diagnostics and therapy of complex internal medical clinical pictures
• You are an organizational talent for daily ward life as well as a team player and strong in communication during interdisciplinary exchange
• You have a high sense of responsibility towards patients, assistant physicians, and the entire organization
• You are very empathetic when dealing with patients and relatives
• We value your conflict resolution competence, your sense of responsibility, and your resilience
