Senior Physician Medical Genetics Bern 80-100%

Medical Genetics at a clinic where genetic diagnostics and counseling come together from the prenatal period to late adulthood. In Bern, we are looking for a Senior Physician (female/male) for Medical Genetics with a workload of 80 – 100%, starting immediately or by arrangement. In a university clinic for human genetics with full category A advanced training authorization, an interdisciplinary, scientifically integrated environment with a wide diagnostic spectrum awaits you.

What to expect in this responsible task

• You will care for outpatient patients in a busy consultation covering the entire spectrum of genetic diagnostics and counseling, from the prenatal period to late adulthood
• You will participate in several interdisciplinary special consultations, including together with cardiology, dermatology, nephrology, neurology, and ophthalmology
• You will take over the consultative assessment and clarification of inpatient patients in the children's clinics as well as in the adult sector
• You will work closely with the medical staff of the other clinics of the hospital
• You will contribute to scientific questions and university advanced training

What you bring with you

• Specialist title in Medical Genetics or an equivalent foreign specialist title with Swiss recognition
• Ideally several years of professional experience
• Interest in scientific questions and enjoyment of personal advanced training
• Very good German language skills
