Assistant Physician Pneumology 100%

The pneumology department of Spital Muri has newly been recognized by the SIWF as a training center for pneumology of category C (1 year). For our first training position, we are looking for a female or male colleague starting January 1, 2027, who wants to learn outpatient pneumology in its full breadth - personally supervised in a one-on-one ratio. Our department treats over 1'600 patients annually, with its own lung function laboratory, outpatient sleep diagnostics, endoscopy, and consultation service.

Your tasks ###

• Own pneumological consultation
• Performance and interpretation of extended lung function with body plethysmography, diffusion capacity, FeNO and methacholine provocation, as well as spiroergometry, 6-minute walk test and allergological prick testing
• Interpretation of cardiorespiratory polygraphies as well as initiation and follow-up care of CPAP and NIV therapies, long-term oxygen therapy and home ventilation
• Flexible bronchoscopy with bronchoalveolar lavage and biopsy as well as radial ultrasound-guided transbronchial biopsy (rEBUS) - initially assisting, with increasing experience in own procedures
• Thoracic ultrasonography, pleural puncture and thorax drainage
• Pneumological consultations for hospitalized patients
• Participation in the emergency practice with ten shifts, without night shifts
• Participation in the SGP-certified outpatient pulmonary rehabilitation

Your profile ###

• Federal or MEBEKO-recognized medical diploma
• Several years of further training in General Internal Medicine, ideally with completed basic training or specialist title
• Goal: specialist title in Pneumology or pneumology as a module of your advanced training in General Internal Medicine, in the curriculum for GP or hospital internist
• Enjoyment of outpatient medicine, independent working and interprofessional collaboration
• Very good German language skills, both written and spoken

Four hours of structured further training per week, the daily X-ray discussion with radiology, the pneumological case colloquium as well as the Journal Club, the ILD colloquium and the interdisciplinary thorax oncology tumor board together with the pneumology of Kantonsspital Baden offer you diverse opportunities to deepen your knowledge and contribute your own cases.

Vacation ###

You benefit from between 25 and 30 working days of vacation (depending on age) as well as 13 paid public holidays. In addition, you have the option to purchase 5 vacation days.

Working hours ###

The standard working time for a full-time position is 42 hours per week (excluding doctors). Annual working time applies, which ensures the highest possible flexibility in the design of working hours. Shift requests will be implemented if possible and part-time employment is possible in many functions - including leadership positions.
