The position is attached to the Département de la femme, de l'enfant et de l'adolescent which has the mission to offer quality care adapted to the needs of women at each stage of their lives and to the health problems faced by newborns, children and adolescents from their birth until the age of 18 years. For many years, the département de la femme, de l'enfant et de l'adolescent has continuously developed cutting-edge services and competence centers in several medical specialties. The pediatric specialties service ensures the management of inpatients or outpatients for the following specialties: pediatric allergology, pediatric cardiology, pediatric gastroenterology, pediatric nephrology and metabolism, pediatric pulmonology, neuropediatrics, exercise and obesity medicine. It works towards the development of cutting-edge services and specialty competence centers. The [Unité de cardio-pédiatrie](< >) manages children from the fetal period (in collaboration with obstetrics) to adulthood. The Pediatric Cardiology Unit and congenital cardiac surgery have received the unrestricted qualification for highly specialized medicine (MHS). Performing more than 2'000 consultations per year, the specialists are able to perform all cutting-edge examinations, such as electrocardiograms (ECG), Holters, transthoracic, transesophageal and vascular echocardiographies, stress tests, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and cardiac catheterization. More than 200 cardiac operations are performed each year at the Hôpital des Enfants. Pediatric cardiologists supervise their management, from admission, during the stay in intensive care, then on the pediatric ward in collaboration with doctors from other services. Assistant Physician in the cardio-pediatrics unit - 100% In your capacity as an assistant physician in the Unité de cardio-pédiatrie, you contribute to the supervision of activity, and the supervision of resident doctors and senior residents. You collaborate in clinical activities with the heads of department and assistant physicians. You ensure the coordination of practical activities, clinical, therapeutic or surgical interventions of the patients entrusted to you. You participate in the on-call and standby system. Demonstrating a confirmed interest in teaching, you participate in pre/post-graduate and continuing instruction in the unit. Being dynamic, flexible and committed in nature, you develop interdisciplinary clinical projects. You participate in, deploy and ensure research in the unit. You are a person recognized for your leadership and make use of your excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, in a multidisciplinary team and with the people being cared for and their family. Qualifications You hold a federal medical diploma, a specialist title in pediatrics and advanced training in pediatric cardiology or have training deemed equivalent by the Commission des professions médicales of the Office fédéral de la santé publique (MEBEKO). You hold a doctoral thesis and possess the right of practice allowing you to practice in the canton of Geneva or are able to obtain it before your start date. You have experience in pediatric cardiology and have already worked as a senior resident or attending physician in a hospital. You are strong with experience as a senior resident in a pediatric cardiology unit as well as in team management and management. You have experience in pre and post-graduate teaching and clinical research. For non-French speaking persons, the C1 French level in spoken and written tests is required.
