Nurse: in a prison environment

Are you a nurse and do you wish to work with the Vaud prison population? Our partner, based in several cities in the canton of Vaud, is looking for: - A Nurse in a prison environment for a long mission at 90% in Lonay - A Nurse in a prison environment for a long mission at 70% in Orbe

• You perform health assessments for newly incarcerated persons.
• You provide emergency services and follow-up in the somatic field.
• You perform emergency services and assessments of critical situations in the field of mental health and long-term psychiatric follow-up.
• You provide prevention services.
• You collaborate in network work with other healthcare and patient reception institutions

Additional information

• Activity rate: 70 to 90%
• Contract type: Long temporary mission over several months, start date to be agreed upon.
• Schedule: Continuous schedules
• Location: Lonay and Orbe
• You hold a HES nursing diploma or equivalent, with mandatory Swiss Red Cross recognition.
• You have a minimum of two years of experience in care, ideally in a prison environment, or in mental health and general care
• You have experience with migrant populations or patients suffering from addictions, a plus
• You are a professional sensitive to ethics and your posture is non-judgmental regarding the judicial paths of detainees.
• You are a good listener and have an interest in issues related to social integration.
• You are proficient in technical care and are autonomous.
• You hold a driver's license, and it is imperative that you reside a maximum of 40 minutes from Lonay or Orbe.
