In the Clinic for Geriatric and Neuropsychiatry of the Universitäres Psychiatrisches Zentrum Bern (UPZ), you accompany people with cognitive impairments in challenging life situations. On our crisis intervention ward, you support our patients in managing crises, regaining stability, and improving their quality of life. Together with a dedicated interprofessional team, you design person-centered care and actively develop our ward concept further.

Your tasks

• You provide person-centered care and support for people with cognitive impairments and behavioral abnormalities on our closed acute ward and accompany them in the organization of their lives and daily routines
• You support the interprofessional treatment team in nursing and the implementation of therapeutic measures
• You take on tasks in administration, logistics, and medical technology, thereby contributing to smooth daily ward operations
• You actively contribute your specialist knowledge and experience to daily business and help shape the care of our patients
• You implement our ward concept together with the team and participate in its continuous further development
• You work closely with the interprofessional treatment team to promote the stabilization of our patients and their quality of life

Your profile

• You have completed training as a Fachfrau Gesundheit EFZ or Fachmann Gesundheit EFZ
• You are interested in psychiatry and ideally already have relevant professional experience
• You value cooperation in an interprofessional team and feel comfortable in a dynamic environment
• You approach people with an appreciative and respectful attitude and deal with challenging situations in a reflective manner
• You bring humor, resilience, and the ability to act calmly and professionally even in demanding situations
• You work in a goal- and patient-oriented manner, take responsibility, and want to actively help shape the care and our ward concept
