Background:
Are you ready for an exciting career in microbiological environmental monitoring? The unit "QC mEMT Kaiseraugst" is part of the Microbiology Quality Control Basel/Kaiseraugst. As a Laboratory Technician (m/f/d) of the "QC mEMT Kaiseraugst" group in pharmaceutical quality control, you will ensure reliable and efficient microbiological environmental monitoring for the production sites at the Kaiseraugst location for the safety of our products and thus for the well-being of patients.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

As a laboratory technician in microbiological quality control, you are responsible for performing and evaluating bioburden testing and microbial count determinations (e.g., of packaging materials, active ingredients, excipients, and products). Further areas may follow, depending on qualification and need. You also ensure reliable and efficient experimental execution and control for the safety of our products and thus for the well-being of patients.

• Preparation and execution of the sampling of microbiological samples (e.g., air germ collections, surface swabs) in cleanrooms.
• Execution of microbiological and chemical-physical sampling of high-purity media (e.g., WFI, gases).
• Carrying out bioburden testing
• Carrying out filtrations of various water qualities (e.g., WFI, PW).
• GMP-compliant documentation of work and results
• Incubation, evaluation, and documentation of results in LIMS.
• Execution of sample logistics.
• Work assignment on weekends and public holidays (approx. 1 x month)
• Activities are carried out independently according to general instructions, in compliance with all GMP, SOP, and legal regulations

Must Haves:

• You have completed training (Biology Laboratory Technician, Chemistry Laboratory Technician, Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Technologist, or equivalent training)
• Experience in microbiological laboratory work as well as experience in the field of microbiological environmental monitoring is a great advantage
• Additionally, you have fluent German skills in speaking and writing as well as English skills
• You work carefully and precisely and value teamwork
• Experience with GMP (-documentation) and its systems is desired
• A careful way of working and practical skill characterize you
• Team player, flexible, resilient, and able to handle conflict
