Job Description

Responsibilities Social educators are responsible for accompanying young people in situations of vulnerability within a specialized care establishment, focusing on the promotion of their general well-being, their autonomy and their social integration. Their main responsibilities are as follows:

• Actively involve themselves in the daily life of young people and implement evidence-based educational and therapeutic programs, in accordance with the establishment's standards. - Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in order to guarantee a coordinated and efficient service delivery. - Supervise the implementation and animation of structured therapeutic activities, notably psychodrama, climbing and interventions inspired by the circus.
• Maintain professional relationships with families and external professionals in order to foster global care. - Establish and apply eligibility criteria for participation in programs and systematically follow the progress of participants. - Write exhaustive reports, maintain detailed individual files and prepare clinical documentation in accordance with the establishment's protocols.
• Scrupulously respect all institutional procedures and professional standards governing the provision of care and support services. - Contribute to the strategic development and the continuous improvement of the operation of the unit and service delivery. - Carry out risk assessments and implement protective measures in order to guarantee the safety and well-being of all young people in the establishment.
• Participate in crisis interventions and implement de-escalation techniques when necessary, while maintaining a calm and benevolent attitude. - Engage in reflective practice and clinical supervision in order to improve professional skills and the quality of services. - Contribute to the collection and analysis of outcome data in order to evaluate program effectiveness and guide service improvement.

Qualifications
--------------

• ES or HES Social Educator diploma.
• Experience in psychiatry (5 years) and/or in child psychiatry (an asset).
• Interest in group therapeutic work.
• Ability to work within a demanding institutional framework.
• Professional skills: analysis, writing, interdisciplinarity.
• Interpersonal skills: listening, communication, collaboration.
• Personal skills: adaptation, ethics, sense of responsibility.
