Your tasks

• You support and empower nursing professionals in all areas of Kantonsspital Aarau in the care of patients with oncological and oncological-hematological clinical pictures.
• You accompany, train, and advise patients with oncological diseases across different areas through direct clinical nursing practice or in a consultative setting.
• You take over the professional leadership as well as support and coaching of specialist and nursing experts in the Competence Team/ANP Oncology.
• You work in all areas (Surgery, Woman&Child, Medicine) in direct care with oncological patients.
• You create and update subject-specific SOPs, instructions, and concepts in cooperation with the specialist/nursing experts and other professional groups.
• You lead and accompany projects within the framework of professional development in the field of oncology and ensure the quality of nursing care in the oncological area.
• You implement Advanced Practice Nurse roles for oncological patients together with the Head of Nursing Development.
• You take over the lead for nursing audits/certifications in the oncology area together with the Onkologiezentrum Mittelland.
• You prepare current nursing quality indicators, initiate measures, plan the evaluation, and delegate the implementation to the specialist/nursing experts of the respective area.
• You work out strategic directions together with the Head of Nursing Development.
• You ensure interprofessional cooperation through suitable structures.

Your profile

• Several years of professional experience in the acute care sector (oncology nursing)
• Master of Science in Nursing or currently studying
• Leadership training (for example CAS) is an advantage or the willingness to undertake it
• Understanding of strategic and operative as well as scientific issues
• Professional appearance and enjoyment of the further development of specialist fields in an interprofessional team
