Context
--------

The Centre hospitalier universitaire vaudois (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculté de biologie et médecine of the Université de Lausanne and the EPFL, the CHUV plays a leading role in the fields of medical care, medical research, and training.

The Centre Universitaire de Traitement et Réadaptation (CUTR) Sylvana is located in Epalinges.

The care offered in the treatment and rehabilitation centers aims to accelerate or make a return home possible. It also involves helping patients recover physical or cognitive functions affected by an illness or accident, or allowing them to adapt to their new condition.

In this sense, the mission of the CUTR Sylvana is part of the home maintenance policy of the canton of Vaud.
Interprofessional collaboration is the essential operating element of the CUTR because it allows for the holistic support of the patient by taking their environment into account.

Mission
-------

• You ensure daily care, assist with personal hygiene, meals, and bedtime, and accompany the movements of people, within a time slot mainly fixed between 7h and 16h
• You encourage their participation in activities, collaborate on the organization of simple events, and remain attentive to their needs
• You ensure the maintenance of living spaces, the management of laundry, and the preparation of meals
• You manage routine purchases, check the condition of equipment, and perform simple administrative tasks
• You work in a multidisciplinary team and transmit necessary information. You contribute to maintaining a pleasant and adapted living environment
• You participate in prevention and health promotion activities with patients.

Profile
------

• You have completed your compulsory schooling, evidenced by a certificate or attestation
• You have reached the legal age of 18 years (possibility to start from 16 years with prior internships in care).
• You have a marked interest in the field of health and the well-being of people
• You are comfortable in human contact and know how to demonstrate empathy and active listening
• You have a proven aptitude for teamwork and demonstrate collaboration, while being able to work autonomously
• You are organized, rigorous, and capable of managing several tasks at once, even in stressful environments.
