Senior Physician Medical Genetics 80 - 100%Bern

Medical Genetics at a clinic where genetic diagnostics and counseling come together from the prenatal period to late adulthood. In Bern, we are looking for a Senior Physician (female) or Senior Physician (male) for Medical Genetics with a workload of 80 – 100%, effective immediately or by arrangement. In a university clinic for human genetics with full category A training authorization, an interdisciplinary, scientifically integrated environment with a broad diagnostic spectrum awaits you.

What awaits you in this responsible task

• You care for outpatient patients in a busy consultation covering the entire spectrum of genetic diagnostics and counseling, from the prenatal period to late adulthood
• You participate in several interdisciplinary specialist consultations, including together with cardiology, dermatology, nephrology, neurology, and ophthalmology
• You take over the consultative assessment and clarification of inpatient patients in the children's clinics as well as in the adult area
• You work closely with the medical staff of the other clinics of the hospital
• You contribute to scientific questions and university continuing education

What you bring with you

• Specialist title for Medical Genetics or equivalent foreign specialist title with Swiss federal recognition
• Ideally several years of professional experience
• Interest in scientific questions and enjoyment of personal continuing education
• Very good German language skills
