REHAB Basel, Clinic for Neurorehabilitation and Paraplegiology, treats and rehabilitates patients with brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and related clinical pictures following accident or illness. In doing so, we offer an extraordinarily wide spectrum of therapies to help the people entrusted to us successfully achieve the greatest possible independence and an optimal quality of life.

The clinic has 110 beds and an outpatient operation. Around 660 employees implement the visions and values of REHAB Basel in their daily work. They work in a unique building in the attractive tri-border area of Switzerland, Germany and France.

To complement our team, we are looking for a speech therapist in the function of Deputy Head of Speech Therapy in part-time or full-time (60-100%) starting from January 2027.

Your area of responsibility ###

• Close cooperation with the Head of Speech Therapy and taking over the deputy role during their absence with responsibility for the operational matters of the department and around 20 employees
• Participation in the recruitment and induction of new employees as well as in duty scheduling and the design of efficient internal workflows in close cooperation with the management
• Active participation in the promotion, development and support of employees as well as being their contact person for personnel and team-related concerns
• Co-responsibility for the further development of team structures, processes and cooperation within the team
• Diagnostics, therapy and counseling of patients with neurogenic language, speech, voice, and swallowing disorders as well as facial nerve palsies
• Documentation of the course of therapy and close interprofessional cooperation with therapy, medical and nursing teams

Your profile ###

• Completed studies in speech therapy with EDK recognition
• Several years of experience in the field of neurorehabilitation/clinical speech therapy
• Joy in developing professionally and personally in a leadership function
• High sense of responsibility, willingness to reflect as well as high social and communicative competence
• Strong organizational skills, networked thinking and joy of innovation
• Commitment to quality assurance, further development and evidence-based therapy
• Confident handling of documentation and clinical IT systems
• Joy in working independently and close to patients in an interprofessional team as well as a high ethical attitude
• Very good oral and written German skills; knowledge of French and/or Italian language is an advantage
