The position is attached to the Diagnostic Department. Composed of nine medical services, its mission is to provide diagnostics, therapeutic products, therapeutic acts, and specialized clinical consultations, of high medical quality, in the shortest possible time and at an acceptable cost, to guide the care of female and male patients and contribute to therapeutic decisions and actions.

The primary mission of the laboratory medicine service is to take charge of liquid samples of all kinds such as blood, urine, cerebrospinal fluid as well as wound smears and submit them to numerous and varied analyses offering quality results in the shortest possible time. The results guide medical decisions and therapeutic choices. They are obtained using the most recent robotic, semi-robotic or manual technologies and the most high-performance methods to date. The service also has research and teaching missions.

Job description ##

You perform routine bacteriological analyses, more particularly in the sector of automated bacteriology.

You participate, according to the needs of the service, in all entrusted laboratory work as well as in irregular hours, including on-call and standby services.

You also participate in the technological evolution and its environment.

You demonstrate versatility and are capable of working both individually and in a team.

You participate in the training of laboratory personnel and trainees.

You participate in the proper maintenance of the accreditation system.

Profile description ##

You hold a diploma as a technician in biomedical analyses (TAB) or an equivalent title.

You have knowledge in microbiology and more particularly in automated microbiology, and have in-depth knowledge in the fields of molecular biology, notably in real-time PCR, as well as in parasitology

Your experience in laboratory work (manipulation of cultures, molecular biology techniques) allows you to easily use PCR devices.

Your rigor, your sense of responsibility and your autonomy allow you to execute the tasks entrusted to you in an optimal and efficient manner. You demonstrate availability towards the medical corps in case of necessity.

Your interpersonal ease allows you to work easily in a team and to integrate.
