Senior Physician Geriatric Psychiatry, 80-100 %

Do you enjoy working interdisciplinarily and interprofessionally and want to contribute your expertise in geriatric psychiatry? Then strengthen our Geriatric Service of the Gesundheitszentren für das Alter der Stadt Zürich starting from March 1, 2027.

Tasks ##

• You take on the specialist responsibility for the inpatient treatment of residents with mental and psychosomatic illnesses in old age such as dementia, depression, delirium, and anxiety disorders.
• You perform demanding psychiatric diagnostics, create individual treatment plans, and are responsible for medication and psychotherapeutic treatment.
• You accompany and train assistant physicians in the specific diagnostics and therapy of geriatric psychiatry.
• You actively contribute to the further development of geriatric psychiatric care and to interdisciplinary cooperation.
• Within the framework of a multiprofessional team, you work closely with the geriatricians.

Profile ##

• You hold the specialist title in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy
• You possess pronounced empathy and confidence in dealing with complex psychiatric symptomatologies in old age
• You have very good oral and written expression skills
