Die Aids-Hilfe beider Basel (AHbB) operates an office with independent offers/services regarding sexual health, particularly regarding HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STI).

We are looking for a

Head of Department Checkpoint (offer for men who have sex with men) 60 - 70 % ##

starting December 1, 2026, or by arrangement

(an entry with a reduced workload and increase to 70 % as of January 1, 2027 is also possible) ###

In this function, you are responsible for the management of Checkpoint Basel (health center for men and trans people who have sex with men) as well as other testing offers of the AHbB. In doing so, you coordinate the approximately 14 employees who work in part-time positions; develop the offer professionally and network on a regional and national level. As part of the office team, you are also involved in the daily tasks of the office, such as telephone counseling and the drafting of applications and reports in your area.

What you bring with you: ###

• Registered nurse HF or comparable training.
• Basic medical knowledge regarding sexual health and especially specifically HIV/STI.
• Experience in personal counseling and in non-judgmental interaction with people in a wide variety of life situations.
• Leadership experience and an aptitude for numbers.
• Confident oral and written expression in German as well as oral communication skills in English, French, and possibly Spanish.
• Applicants who come from the queer community will be preferred due to the target group.
