TPA Small Animal Practice 80 - 100% (m/f)

A young, warm practice team in the greater Bern area is looking for reinforcement that brings joy in animals, people and responsibility. We are looking for an immediate start or by arrangement for a Veterinary Assistant (Tiermedizinische Praxisassistentin / Tiermedizinischer Praxisassistent) EFZ with a workload of 80 – 100 %, optionally with a leadership function. In a modern, centrally located small animal practice, a varied field of tasks awaits you with direct contact with pet owners and their four-legged friends.

What awaits you in this responsible task

• You receive, care for and advise pet owners on the phone and on-site and take over appointment scheduling as well as the maintenance of customer files
• You assist in consultations as well as during operations and take over anesthesia monitoring and postoperative care
• You independently collect and process laboratory samples and assist with X-ray and ultrasound examinations
• You care for and sterilize surgical instruments and ensure cleaning, stock management and food orders
• You support in emergencies and take over the billing of services and medications
• You optionally take over the technical leadership of the TPA team

What you bring with you

• Completed training as Tiermedizinische Praxisassistentin EFZ or Tiermedizinischer Praxisassistent EFZ
• Experience in a small animal practice or clinic is an advantage
• Joy in dealing with animals and people
• If interested in the leadership function, initial organizational or leadership experience is an advantage
