During this three-year training, you will learn, through theoretical blocks at the Careum Bildungszentrum in Zurich and through practical work in the hospitals of Schaffhausen, the various activities of a HF-certified radiology specialist. The internships in radiation oncology and nuclear medicine take place in other hospitals. If you are interested in part-time training, we recommend you visit the Careum Bildungszentrum page. What awaits you

• Carrying out radiation treatments (diagnostic radiology, radiation oncology as well as nuclear medicine)
• Monitoring organic functions
• Creation of imaging documents for diagnosis

• Accompanying female and male patients before, during, and after treatment

What you bring to us

• Secondary II diploma: Federal Certificate of Capacity CFC (training of at least three years), maturity, specialized school certificate or intermediate diploma
• Successful admission procedure (valid for three years)

The hospitals of Schaffhausen as an employer

The hospitals of Schaffhausen include the cantonal hospital, the psychiatric services, the radiology and cardiology practices Posthof Neuhausen, as well as the neurology practice Schaffhouse Centre. With more than 1-700 employees, we ensure the extensive basic medical and nursing care of the Schaffhausen region. Each year, we take care of approximately 11-000 hospitalized female and male patients and 90-000 outpatients. In addition, we are an important training center in the canton.
