Care Assistant

The employer is looking for a:

Care Assistant (ACR) (reported profession)

Tasks:

• participate in team meetings
• accompany students and interns in training, updating regularly on the specific skills required
• accompany and integrate new employees
• maintain order and hygiene in the environments
• ensure the order and cleanliness of the auxiliary equipment assigned to the department
• perform decontamination of material
• provide for the separation of dirty and clean material
• provide for waste disposal
• use material correctly and efficiently, including personal protective equipment
• formulate daily requests for necessary food supplies
• maintain control of material in stock and carry out necessary orders
• participate actively in the completion of MDS-RAI documentation
• detect vital parameters and record them in the nursing file
• identify the needs of residents and inform the superior
• guarantee basic care to residents
• guarantee the global safety of residents
• take care of residents, accompanying them through the various moments of the day
• ensure activities of daily living (ADL)
• support residents in maintaining their psychophysical resources
• accompany the superior and collaborate in care activities
• collaborate with the multidisciplinary functions of the CPA
• evaluate risks and prevent pressure ulcers with auxiliary means, mobilization, position changes, positioning of the resident both in bed and in the armchair
• perform medico-technical acts upon delegation
• participate in food distribution, assist residents during meals, stimulate correct nutrition
• transmit relevant information for the care of residents to the superior
• perform hotel activities (including tidying rooms)
• communicate reports to the superior (complaints from within and/or outside the CPA)
• report breakdowns and malfunctions of equipment, systems, and premises
• formulate proposals for improvement deemed necessary in all areas
• comply with the internal staff regulations and the CPA directives
• respect the values defined by the CPA
• guarantee professional secrecy
• ensure flexibility in hours (shifts)
• perform night shifts
• report adverse events
• consider the resident as the main recipient of services, finalizing them to their physical, psychic, social, cultural, and religious well-being
• perform all services provided by the function on residents ensuring respect, even in the most delicate phases
• be able to manage, by adopting all necessary self-control measures, situations arising from any aggressive reactions or attitudes, of a physical or verbal nature and behavioral disturbances by residents
• contribute to maintaining a serene and constructive working environment, based on mutual respect, availability, and a spirit of collaboration
• follow up, with zeal and motivation, on requests and handovers from superiors, demonstrating necessary flexibility in critical situations
• identify one's own training needs in accordance with the assigned tasks and new requirements and communicate them to the Nurse responsible for training (IRF) / other function designated by the management
• guarantee a commitment to continuous training

Requirements:

• cantonal diploma as Care Assistant / recognized equivalent diploma
• professional experience of at least 2 years
