The Spitalverbund Appenzell Ausserrhoden with the Akutspital Herisau and the Psychiatrisches Zentrum AR in Herisau ensures the extended basic medical care for the population in the Canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and is also the first point of contact for a large part of the population in the surrounding region. Both locations are relevant for care within the Canton and beyond.

In the Klinik für Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie under the nursing management of Mr. Sven Lang, Claudia Thoma is looking for a Dipl. Pflegefachperson HF/FH in the field of psychotherapy with a workload of 100%, starting on 01. December 2026 or by arrangement.

Your tasks

• Accompanying and supporting patients in everyday life and in crisis situations, as well as designing and promoting a health-promoting ward milieu
• Adhering to nursing standards
• Creating the necessary documentation in ORBIS NICE
• Leading and accompanying nursing-led psychotherapeutic and milieu-therapeutic groups
• Applying complementary medicine methods
• Close and transparent cooperation with all professionals involved in the treatment, including external contact persons
• Execution of diagnostic and therapeutic measures

Your profile

• You have completed training as a Dipl. Pflegefachfrau / Dipl. Pflegefachmann HF/FH
• You have professional experience in the field of psychiatry, experience in the specialist area of psychotherapy is an advantage
• You have a cooperative and solution-oriented way of working, are a resilient and flexible personality, and are capable of networked thinking
• You have an interest in close cooperation within the interprofessional treatment team
• You have an open, team-oriented, and empathetic basic attitude
• You enjoy working independently and with personal responsibility
• You are motivated to actively participate in the further development of the ward concept
