Team Leader Intensive Care Unit (m/f/d)

The Spitalverbund Appenzell Ausserrhoden with the Akutspital Herisau and the Psychiatrischen Zentrum AR in Herisau ensures the expanded basic medical care for the population in the Canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and is also the first point of contact for a large part of the population in the surrounding region. Both locations are relevant for care for the canton and beyond.

In the acute care nursing area under the nursing management of Frau Dragica Novakovic, we are looking for a Team Leader 80-100% for the intensive care unit, effective immediately or by arrangement.
The intensive care unit consists of six nursing beds, of which two are ventilation places.

Your tasks

• Professional and personnel responsibility for the nursing team of the intensive care unit
• Professional nursing responsibility for the intensive care unit with six nursing beds, of which two are ventilation places
• Ensuring qualitative nursing care for patients requiring intensive care through efficient personnel deployment planning
• Professional and empathetic accompaniment of patients and relatives in crisis situations
• Close cooperation with the medical management of intensive care medicine and the nursing management
• Constant qualitative review of processes and development of standards and concepts

Your profile

• You are a Dipl. Pflegefachfrau, Dipl. Pflegefachmann or Gesundheits- und Krankenpflegerin, Gesundheits- und Krankenpfleger with Swiss recognition
• Completed further training as a Dipl. Expertin/Experte NDS Intensivpflege is mandatory for this position
• Leadership experience and leadership training are prerequisites for this position
• You enjoy taking responsibility and enjoy designing and further developing new processes
• Very good German skills in speaking and writing
• You demonstrate pronounced teamwork skills and maintain a patient-oriented way of working
• You show a high level of commitment and act responsibly for the well-being of the patients
