March 2027 look | develop | act Analyst WWTP Laboratory, Water Protection Laboratory 80 - 100% The Water Protection Laboratory carries out analyses on water bodies and in the vicinity of the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). On the basis of investigations of wastewater and sewage sludge, substance inputs, pollutants and risks to the environment can be identified at an early stage and the effectiveness of measures can be assessed. The expertise within the team also supports the assessment of water pollution and enables sound reporting. In this versatile function, you are the central interface between field sampling, precise laboratory analysis and technical advice to plant operators in the Canton of Zürich. Your tasks * Monitoring of private and municipal treatment plants in the Canton of Zürich, including routine on-site sampling and subsequent physico-chemical laboratory analyses * Plausibility check of measurement results by comparison with plant data as well as quality-assuring reporting using LIMS * Implementation of proficiency tests for WWTP as well as active participation in external proficiency tests to ensure the highest analysis standards * Technical advice and support for plant operators in managing operational disturbances and incidents * Professional sample preparation and processing of sewage sludge * Processing of water pollution through targeted laboratory analyses and the creation of the corresponding investigation reports Your profile * You bring a passion for environmental analysis and appreciate the change between laboratory work and field assignments * Completed training as a chemical laboratory assistant, environmental technician; ideally training as a federal certified wastewater treatment plant specialist * Sound knowledge in the physico-chemical analysis of water and sewage sludge * Experience in handling LIMS (Laboratory Information and Management Systems) as well as MS Office applications * Ideally knowledge of water law requirements and limit values (especially in the Canton of Zürich) * Possession of a valid driving license of category B (mandatory for sampling tours) * Good written and spoken German skills What awaits you * Exciting tasks with real environmental relevance - in doing so you take on a lot of personal responsibility * A committed team that sticks together and in which you quickly become part of the whole * Working with modern analysis methods and contemporary work tools at the current state of the art Your contacts Mathias Meya Gruppenleiter Labor ARA Edith Durisch Sektionsleiterin Dear personnel service providers!
