The Department of General Internal Medicine (DAIM) is a clinical competence center at three clinic locations in Bern (Klinik Beau-Site, Salem-Spital, Klinik Permanence) which covers the full spectrum of the discipline of General Internal Medicine and interdisciplinary clinical emergency medicine. The DAIM is a Category A training center for General Internal Medicine, Category IV for outpatient medicine, as well as SGNOR Category 2 for clinical emergency medicine.

YOUR TASKS

• You are responsible for emergency or ward operations and care for patients interdisciplinary -- if interested, also combined
• You ensure efficient, patient-centered care and close cooperation between emergency, ward, and special disciplines
• You participate in the medical on-call service -- without nightly presence obligation
• You lead, accompany, and promote assistant physicians as well as students in education and training

YOUR PROFILE

• Emergency medicine: You are a specialist in General Internal Medicine or another specialty relevant to emergency medicine (e.g., surgery), or shortly before obtaining the title. You bring knowledge in interdisciplinary emergency medicine -- ideally supplemented by the additional designation clinical emergency medicine SGNOR -- as well as experience in sonography
• Emergency medicine:
• Inpatient Internal Medicine: You possess a specialist title in General Internal Medicine, possibly supplemented by another specialist title (e.g., infectious diseases, nephrology, cardiology)
• Inpatient Internal Medicine:
• You are interested in a wide spectrum of internist and interdisciplinary clinical pictures and bring experience in their diagnostics and therapy
• You are an organizational talent, a team player, and have strong communication skills in interdisciplinary exchange
• You take responsibility towards patients, assistant physicians, and the entire organization and maintain an empathetic and sovereign manner
• We value your conflict resolution competence, your sense of responsibility, and your resilience
