Specialized Clinical Nurse (ICS) / Centre des Pratiques Interprofessionnelles (CPI) / at 80% / in CDI

Introduced in Switzerland since 2009, advanced nursing practice continues to develop. The modification of the health law that entered into force in October 2020 in Geneva now authorizes advanced practices under certain conditions. As a health, care, and home care institution, IMAD is strongly committed to strengthening continuity of care, the efficiency of management, and supporting the development of employee skills; two central axes of the institutional strategy.

To this end, IMAD is looking for a specialized clinical nurse (ICS) oriented towards home healthcare to strengthen its team within the Centre des pratiques Interprofessionnelles (CPI, under operations management), who will contribute to the implementation of advanced nursing practice within the institution.

Your missions and responsibilities

As an ICLS, you will play a key role in the transformation of home care by contributing to the continuous improvement of the quality and safety of care. Your mission will be part of a collaborative approach, centered on the patient as a full partner.

Your main responsibilities:

• Support the institutional mission aimed at maintaining home care in a stimulating, safe environment that respects patient preferences.
• Initiate, coordinate, and support clinical interventions related to the ICLS function with care teams and according to patient needs.
• Evaluate complex care situations and intervene based on evidence.
• Participate in interdisciplinary clinical decisions during transition, in collaboration with care managers and partners, to develop individualized care pathways integrating clinical assessment, therapeutic education, and professional support, etc.
• Actively contribute to the implementation phase of advanced nursing practice, by being a source of proposals for any clinical implementation project.
• Support the quality of clinical documentation.

Specific axes of intervention:

• Clinical project management, notably related to the implementation of new professional practices.
• Direct and indirect intervention in complex or fragile clinical situations, in support of transition teams or specialized colleagues.
• Transformational leadership, for example: by animating communities of practice by clinical domains, responding to the specific needs of populations followed at home.
• Participation in clinical research, in connection with evidence and aiming for the continuous improvement of clinical skills.
• Master of Science in Nursing (MScSI) ICS
• At least 5 years of experience as a nurse and at least 5 years as an ICLS
• Experience in home care or community health is an asset
• Ability to work interprofessionally within a multidisciplinary team
• Good pedagogical ability, flexibility, and proactivity
• Ability to position oneself in accordance with the institutional line
• Committed, motivated person with excellent interpersonal skills
• Good knowledge of the Geneva healthcare network.
