Who we are
The Heim Sunnegg is a socio-pedagogical institution for adults with support needs: 17 places, two residential groups, rural location at the edge of the village. We offer a structured, life-oriented everyday life and promote self-determination, participation, and personal development.
We are in the middle of a transformation. The daily structure is being redesigned, existing concepts are being further developed, and new approaches to living together are being consciously tested. Especially in care, it shows what really works in everyday life – your observations count with us.

Your tasks
You accompany adults with support needs through daily residential life – from morning to evening
You support with personal hygiene, nutrition, and health matters
You actively help shape everyday life: household, garden, small animals, leisure
You accompany residents in the daily structure and in the atelier
You undertake key person work and perform documentation
You work closely in a team as well as with relatives and external specialist agencies
You bring your observations from everyday life into our development processes

What you bring with you
Completed training as Fachmann/Fachfrau Betreuung EFZ (specialization in disability care or generalist) or a comparable qualification
Joy in accompanying adults with support needs
Reliability and independence in everyday life
Openness to new things – many things are currently changing with us
Teamwork skills and the willingness to reflect on your own actions
Willingness to work shifts and weekend services
Good German language skills in speaking and writing

Good to know
Working hours: From October 2026, we will work in a clear three-shift model. Weekend services are included. We plan the scheduling together and well in advance.
Accessibility via public transport: Walkringen station is on the BLS line Burgdorf–Thun and is served hourly by the S-Bahn lines S41 (Solothurn–Thun) and S42; from there it is a few minutes' walk to us at Ebnenackerweg. From Bern, you can reach us in just over half an hour: with tram 6 to Worb and continuing with Postauto 791 via Rüttihubelbad – or by train via Konolfingen. We are located in Libero-Zone 146.
