Senior Physician Spinal Surgery

Your tasks

• In your consultations, you look after your own patients and perform surgical procedures adapted to your level of advanced training under supervision.
• You cover the spinal surgery service of the KSA and perform interventional pain therapy in the spinal area as well as adjacent joints, starting under supervision depending on training level, then increasingly independently.
• You perform specialist medical tasks independently with conservative and surgical treatments and are involved in the training of assistant physicians.
• Your scientific contributions at national and international congresses will be welcomed after induction.
• You will learn the entire spectrum of spinal surgery, with the exception of intradural tumor surgery; the latter is planable through rotations in other clinics.

Your profile

• After completed training as a specialist in neurosurgery or orthopaedics and traumatology of the musculoskeletal system (mandatory with MEBEKO recognition), ideally with the additional title Specialised Spinal Surgery and SSIPM certificate of competence, you are interested in comprehensive spinal surgical training and activity.
• You are a dynamic, resilient personality with the ambition to learn a complex field of orthopaedics/neurosurgery, show above-average performance, and in addition to this, also pursue the specialist title of spinal surgery planned by the professional societies.
• You welcome interdisciplinary cooperation and actively help to shape it.
