Veterinary Assistant in Replacement Practice

As a veterinary medicine assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting veterinarians and the well-being of animals:

• Manage the agenda, welcome and direct clients and their animals
• Manage animal and client data (maintenance of medical records)
• Advise on behavior and nutrition for all animals of all ages
• Prepare animals for examinations and interventions
• Assist the veterinarian (inserting catheters, blood sampling, preparing equipment used for medical examination, performing X-rays according to instructions and under the responsibility of the expert veterinarian), applying bandages, proceeding with animal immobilization, dispensing medication, performing dental hygiene measures

Diploma in veterinary medicine assistance or equivalent diploma required

Experience in a veterinary clinic or practice required in Switzerland

Sense of organization, rigor and discretion

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients and animals

Perfect French written and spoken
