The field of Forensic Psychiatry includes the Central Psychiatric Assessment Unit, the forensic outpatient clinic (incl. prison psychiatry, care of forensic residential homes and the Kalchrain measure center) as well as three forensic wards (medium security level) with 47 beds as well as several crisis intervention rooms. Since the opening of the third measure station in 2022 and the expansion of outpatient care, the forensics department has been in a constant dynamic development and offers diverse opportunities for co-design as well as for research activities.

You will take over ##

• With your team of ward F1, you ensure the forensic-psychiatric medical-pharmacological treatment for clients with measures according to Art. 59 StGB of your ward (13 beds) and ensure the operation of the 4 crisis intervention beds (together with the other senior physicians of forensics).

The forensic management team supports each other in the overall care of all areas.

• Together with the other team leaders and ward managers, you are involved in the further development and quality assurance of inpatient treatment and you are responsible for the supervision of assistant physicians.
• Finally, you take over clients for crime-preventive psychotherapy. Furthermore, if suitable, there is the possibility of preparing forensic-psychiatric expert reports, especially with a view to obtaining the specialist title in Forensics.

What you bring with you ##

• Diploma as a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy
• Clinical experience in forensic psychiatry
• Ongoing or completed psychotherapy continuing education
• Knowledge of crime-specific therapy methods
• Interest in forensic topics and questions as well as in long-term therapies for all psychiatric clinical pictures
• Flexibility, collegiality and enjoyment of forensics
