The Department of General Internal Medicine (DAIM) is a clinical competence center with three locations in Bern (Klinik Beau-Site, Salem-Spital, Klinik Permanence). It covers the entire spectrum of General Internal Medicine and interdisciplinary clinical emergency medicine.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced female resident or an experienced male resident with advanced continuing education and an interest in taking on expanded professional responsibility. Subject to appropriate suitability, we offer an attractive development perspective to become a Deputy Attending Physician or Deputy Attending Physician.

YOUR TASKS

• Professional support and guidance of junior female and male residents in daily clinical life
• Interdisciplinary treatment of female and male patients of various specialties in the emergency departments
• Care of inpatient female and male patients in the field of General Internal Medicine -- across locations at all three Hirslanden clinics in Bern
• Treatment of complex and cross-system clinical pictures
• Care of surgical female and male patients with relevant internal medical comorbidities
• Close cooperation with the treating specialist team to ensure comprehensive and competent treatment

YOUR PROFILE

• Completed medical studies with corresponding practice permit or MEBEKO recognition
• You are at least in the 3rd or 4th year of continuing education in General Internal Medicine or a related discipline
• Clinical experience in the inpatient area and/or in emergency medicine
• Interest in long-term development within the DAIM with a perspective on a function as Deputy Attending Physician / Deputy Attending Physician
• High social competence, teamwork skills and sense of responsibility
• Joy in professional support and accompaniment of junior female and male colleagues
• Very good German skills in speaking and writing
