As a Senior Physician Palliative Care, you contribute to treating and accompanying patients in challenging life situations in the best possible way. You combine medical competence with empathy and, together with a dedicated team, create an environment in which quality of life, dignity, and personal values are central.

Your tasks include:

• Management responsibility for the outpatient and inpatient medical care of patients in Specialized Palliative Care
• Holistic care and empathic accompaniment in close cooperation with nursing, psychology, chaplaincy, social work, and other specialist disciplines
• Supervision, promotion, and further training of assistant physicians as well as other employees in the multiprofessional team
• Active participation in the further development and implementation of innovative treatment and care concepts in Palliative Care in the entire Emmental-Oberaargau region
• Cooperation in the internal medicine and palliative medicine service operations

Your profile - professionally skilled and personally convincing

• Specialist title in General Internal Medicine, ideally with a focus title "interdisciplinary Palliative Care" or alternatively experience in Palliative Care with the goal of acquiring the focus title
• Clinical experience in the care of patients in complex situations with chronically progressive or life-limiting illnesses
• High social competence, empathy, and a strong orientation towards patients and relatives
• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary cooperation and of co-shaping future-oriented care concepts
• Sense of responsibility, flexibility, and resilience, combined with an appreciative and humorous attitude
