The Klinik für Forensik of the UPK Basel is a supra-regional university center for forensic psychiatry and psychology. Our interprofessional work is oriented towards recovery principles and dialectical-behavioral approaches. Our motto: Safety through relationship. For our inpatient adult forensics, we are looking for you as a Dipl. Pflegefachperson HF/FH (m/f/d) with a workload of 80-100%.

Tasks:

• Key worker work in the core team, perspectively taking over case management and accompanying patients in everyday inpatient life
• Promoting the involvement of relatives and significant others in treatment
• Leading groups in the areas of DBT, psychoeducation, social skills group (GSK), relaxation and activity
• Shared responsibility for the safety of patients and employees
• Application of the nursing process as well as resource and risk assessment instruments (e.g., SAPROF, Bröset, Basler Kriterienkatalog)
• Attentive, empathetic and open communication in everyday life, in the core team and with relatives

Profile:

• Degree as Dipl. Pflegefachperson HF/FH, preferably a degree in nursing science, psychiatric nursing or a comparable degree with a nursing focus
• Professional experience in the psychiatric field
• Joy in working with mentally ill people and interest in the context of forensics
• You see not just the illness and the crime, but the person as a whole
• You enjoy contributing your competencies and personality to interdisciplinary cooperation
• German at least at level B2
• Private and special private extract from the criminal record without entries
• For foreign nursing diplomas, SRK registration is a requirement; the UPK covers the costs
