About us

Barmelweid is the leading specialist and rehabilitation clinic in Northwestern Switzerland and the largest psychosomatic-psychotherapeutic clinic in Switzerland. The Department of Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy has 118 beds. Two psychotherapeutic day clinics as well as two outpatient clinics in Aarau and Frick are also part of the offering. The department defines itself in its self-image as a psychotherapeutically based and at the same time somatically integrating clinical institution. Close cooperation with somatic specialist disciplines of Klinik Barmelweid is established and thus enables the treatment of people with multimorbid somatic diseases as well as psychopathological disorders.
