Head of ENT Department at 80-100%

The Oto-rhino-laryngology (ENT) Department ensures the diagnostic and therapeutic management of adult and pediatric patients presenting with ENT pathologies, in outpatient settings (6'000 visits across the 2 sites) and in inpatient settings (more than 600 adult and approximately 200 pediatric stays per year). The department works in close collaboration with the various medical and surgical specialties in order to offer high-level, patient-centered multidisciplinary care. It offers a stimulating environment allowing for the development of clinical and surgical skills, active participation in physician training, and contribution to the strategic management of the department.

Your missions:

• Supervise and develop the ENT department by ensuring optimal patient care
• Provide specialized consultations in oto-rhino-laryngology
• Ensure the management of outpatient and inpatient patients, in collaboration with the medical and nursing team
• Participate in surgical activity and patient management in the operating room
• Guarantee the organization and coordination of care pathways in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Manage the medical and medico-economic activity of the department, ensuring the quality and performance of services
• Supervise, support, and unite the medical team around common objectives
• Participate in the continuity of care and the ENT on-call/emergency service
• Collaborate with the various medical and surgical specialties within the framework of multidisciplinary care
• Participate in and develop undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
• Participate and/or develop clinical research
• Contribute to the strategic development of the department, in connection with the head of department and the medical management

Your profile:

• Swiss medical degree or foreign title recognized by MEBEKO
• FMH specialist title in oto-rhino-laryngology or equivalent foreign title recognized by MEBEKO
• Confirmed clinical and surgical experience in ENT, ideally as a senior physician with experience as a university chief resident
• Diplomas and titles registered in the medical professions register (MedReg)
• Training in management or a strong interest in undergoing such training
• French language level B2, certified
