Nurse UATR (Temporary Respite Reception Units) / at 80% / in CDI

To allow family caregivers time for respite, the UATR offer clients of AVS age short-term stays and ensure services in the continuity of those provided at home. The care and support of clients are adapted to their physical and mental state of health.

The nurse works interdisciplinarily from one of the 3 sites (either: Mervelet, Petit-Saconnex or Villereuse Genève 1207 or Jumelles, Thônex), respecting the mission and objectives of the institution and may be required to intervene occasionally at the other 2 sites as well.

As the UATR is a service open 24h/24h throughout the year, working hours are in 3x8h.

Your missions and responsibilities

• Provide autonomous and/or upon medical delegation complete personalized nursing care, of a preventive, curative, educational and palliative nature to clients of AVS age
• Exercise a role as a situation referent, on a daily basis, in order to adjust the client's care according to their needs and by acting in accordance with the principles of the professional nursing code of ethics
• Organize medico-social procedures, coordination and collaboration with all stakeholders in a given client's situation by mobilizing all available resources (both from the primary and professional network)
• Work in close collaboration with ASSC and nursing assistants by delegating care from their field of competence to them
• Ensure written and oral transmissions of information relating to the clients being supported in order to allow follow-up and continuity in the client's care
• Participate in training and research activities within the framework of the objectives defined by the professional practices management.
• Bachelor in nursing or training deemed equivalent, authorization to practice in the canton
• Minimum two years of professional experience in the geriatric field
• Knowledge of the Geneva care network
• Experience in psycho-geriatrics desired
• Ability to work autonomously as well as in an interdisciplinary team
• Excellent capacity for adaptation and delegation
• Sense of responsibility and solution orientation.
